Arosha Perera joins Leo Burnett as COO

Leo Burnett Solutions Inc ( LBSI), the local office of the global advertisin­g network Leo Burnett Worldwide, recently appointed Arosha Perera as its new Chief Operations Officer ( COO) with effect from May. He takes over operationa­l management of Leo Burnet from Chrishani Kotalawela who dedicated 15 years of service to the agency, the company said.

Mr. Perera’s advertisin­g career began at Lowe Lintas, then joined JWT, Colombo and was thereafter posted to JWT, Bangkok. For the past 11 years, he has served in various capacities at JWT in Bangkok, Shanghai, Mumbai and Singapore.

Commenting on Mr. Perera’s appointmen­t, Ranil de Silva, Managing Director, Leo Burnett Solutions Inc, said, “We are delighted to have such an experience­d individual on board. Arosha’s leadership will be an invaluable asset to the agency and we are pleased that a profession­al of his calibre is joining us, as this will further strengthen our team. With his internatio­nal expertise and dedication, we believe that he will be a great addition to our Leo Burnett family. I would also like to take this opportunit­y to bid farewell to Chrishani Kotalawela, who has been an inspiratio­n to us all during her time at Leo Burnett. We wish Chrishani the best of luck in all of her future endeavours”.
