Sam Smith undergoes surgery

Pop star Sam Smith has been forced to cancel several of his concerts in many parts of the world as he has to undergo surgery. Smith 22 will be operated on his throat next week to have a vocal haemorrhage corrected. The multi- award winning singer was forced to cancel shows in the Philippines, Japan, Australia, France and Monaco last week as he had lost his voice. He had to fly to the US to consult a specialist. The British singer will be out of action for around eight weeks. eona Lewis will release here first single since parting company with Simon Cowell last year.
