HSBC Premier Customers to meet award winning nature photographer - Bence Mate

-

HSBC Premier Customers who are avid nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts will have an opportunity to engage with Hungarian-born award winning nature photographer, Bence Mate who will host a special talk show at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo on 29 July 2015. The show is part of his first official tour to Sri Lanka with Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts in association with HSBC Premier.

While on tour, he will visit the Yala National Park, Minneriya National park and the Sinharaja Rainforest to explore the rich biodiversity of the nation and photograph endemic bird species, elephants, leopards and other wildlife together with Vimukthi Weeratunga, Wildlife Biologist of Nature Trails and Chitral Jayatilake, Head of Nature Trails at Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts.

During his talk show, he will share experiences gathered during his tour and impart knowledge on his unique hide photography technique, allowing guests to learn and apply this when capturing the behavior of birds in their natural habitat.

Bence Mate is one of the few nature photographers known for his unconventional 'hide photography' technique. He has won a countless number of international awards since his early childhood including BBC wildlife photographer of the year as a young photographer.

His ambitious vision is to estab- lish a hide center in almost every important biodiversity area of the world, with several hides at each location for guests to be able to photograph and capture the behaviour of birds in their natural habitat. Today he runs a very successful business in his unique style of photography using hides permanently built in his home in Hungary that has extended up to Costa Rica.

This is the second event to be sponsored by HSBC Premier that focuses on unique lifestyle experiences to complement the 'personal economy' of its customers. The first was a photography session with Chitral Jayatilake Head of Nature Trails at Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts held in September 2014 that used theories and techniques to turn photography into art. These ongoing events will continue to inspire and benefit customers who share a passion for rewarding life experiences.
