Open Day Event with Manipal Medical University – Malaysia (Melaka)

Melaka-Manipal Medical College (MMMC) is a leader in medical education in India & Malaysia, MMMC has a well-earned reputation across the globe and mostly manifested among the Asian countries like Sri Lanka for providing quality medical education. Not only are its graduates performing very well in the Malaysian health system, judging on feedback received from hospitals, many have gone international and are practicing in Singapore, Australia, the USA, New Zealand and some of the them half way across their native countries.

MMMC Open Day Event would be a medical extravaganza for those interested in pursuing careers in the Medical field. Plus, the organizers would filter out 10 good students who would be viable for Medical Scholarships based on clear performance and financial requirements from this prestigious institution. Like no other, the prominence to quality is imbued in the organizational culture of the College: Included in the WHO directory and International Medical Education Directory ( IMED) of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). MMMC is rated “6- Star” in the Health and Welfare cluster and Readiness for International Students in the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education’s MyQuest rating of educational institutions in 2013. 2011 the Institute of Superbrands, South East Asia, bestowed the College with its Brandlaureate ‘Superbrand’ in Medical Education. Manipal is by itself not an unknown quantity in Malaysia; having been a favoured destination for Malaysians for medical and dental studies since the 1960s, and it is estimated that about 15 - 20% of doctors in Malaysia now are Manipal Alumni. MMMC was awarded 5- year accreditation for the MBBS course by the Joint Technical Committee comprising the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Health, Malaysian Medical Council and t he Malay s i a n Qualifications Agency.

Intakes & Requirements

Students are admitted in two batches annually in April and October. The eligibil- ity criteria are based on the guidelines of the regulatory bodies in Malaysia. Students with 2C, ID for Advanced Level, London/Cambridge examinations or 2C, 1S for Local Advanced Level Examinations and CGPA (Pre-Medicine, BSs, BS) of 3.0 out 4.0.
