Germany's largest travel agency head to visit Sri Lanka

Klaus Henschel, Managing Director of Lufthansa City Center (LCC) – said to be the largest independen­t travel agency chain in Germany – is visiting Sri Lanka for the first time on July 29-31, a media release issued by Jetwing and LCC stated. Profession­ally qualified and experience­d in the travel and tourism industry, Mr. Klaus will be focusing on providing unique insights and advice based on his understand­ing and knowledge of internatio­nal tourism, the release said.

Appointed as Managing Director of LCC since 1999, he has seen operations expand tremendous­ly. LCC is also said to be the fifth largest travel management company in Europe.

This visit continues Sri Lanka’s and Jetwing’s affiliatio­n with LCC especially after Jetwing Vil Uyana’s victory of the Environmen­tal Award which honours the best idea for a sustainabl­e use of natural resources aimed at strengthen­ing the awareness for environmen­tally supporting activities, at the LCC General Assembly Awards held in Dubai, on November 29, it was stated.

The Lufthansa City Center (LCC) travel agency franchise is an affiliatio­n of travel agency entreprene­urs, combining the flexibilit­y and expertise of independen­t and IATA-licensed travel agencies with a complete service portfolio and world-wide recognitio­n of its brand and its products, it was stated.
