Abstract opens new store exclusively for women

Abstract, a part of the prestigious Abans Group of companies has just opened its third store, at No.409, R.A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 3. The new store is unique in that it is exclusively for women, showcasing a range of chic and unique clothing and accessories for stylish women of all ages.

The opening ceremony started off at 7.15 p.m. on Tuesday 21st July 2015 with an interesting and inspiring video presentation depicting the new stores theme ' The Moods of a Woman'. The new store was then officially declared open jointly by Mrs. Aban Pestonjee, Mrs. Saroshi Dubash, Mrs. Judy Pestonjee and Mrs. Tanaz Pestonjee amongst a large gathering of distinguished invitees, loyal customers and wellwishers.

Those in attendance were then ushered in to the new Abstract store and invited to browse through the attractive displays of chic and stylish clothing, handbags, accessories, shoes, gift items and a range of natural cosmetics from THEFACESHOP. After the grand opening ceremony, attendees were in for another pleasant surprise, as those who were lucky to find items with a special red tag, were given that particular item free of charge.

The new stores theme, "The Moods of a Woman", focuses on the fundamental moods experienced by a woman and the store layout is designed in such a way that the shopper experiences each of these moods before leaving the store. This is a unique retail store concept and the first of its kind in Sri Lanka as it allows the shoppers moods and feelings to become apart of the overall shopping experience. The customer is able to shop according to whatever mood they are in. For instance there is a section of the store dedicated to "FUN", which offers the customer a colourful range of flirty summer dresses, cool t-shirts and beach wear. For the more bold and edgy customers there is a section dedicated to "CONFIDENCE", which offers a more precise fit and focuses on more bold and daring designs. There is also a section dedicated to "SOCIA- BLE" which sports more calming and neutral tones and uses comfortable linen and cotton fabrics for a more relaxed style. The different moods showcase the different styles and fabrics that highlight and reflect the moods of women in suitable attires that are appropriate for different occasions and activities.
