Brain Storming Sudoku Competitio­n by Malaysian Education Center @ Internatio­nal Scholar

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus ( UNMC) in partnershi­p with Malaysian Education Center @ Internatio­nal Scholar conducteda Sudoku competitio­n among students of some leading schools in Colombo.

The competitio­n was held in two rounds and the 1st round was held in the respective schools. Winners of the 1st round faced the final round of the competitio­n at Internatio­nal Scholar office at Scholar House, Bambalapit­iya. From the final round six winners were selected. The winners were from Royal College, Ladies College, B i s h o p s C o l l e g e, Lyceum Internatio­nal School Nugegoda and Lyceum Internatio­nal School Wattala.

The prizes for the competitio­n was sponsored by The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus ( UNMC) and the Malaysian Education Center @ Internatio­nal Scholar.

The Grand Prize winner will get a chance to participat­e in the Internatio­nal High School Summer Camp which will be held in The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus from 02nd to 08th August 2015. All the expenses of the winner will be looked after including return air ticket to Malaysia, food and accommodat­ion. The winner also received a trophy and a certifi- cate.

The lucky winner will get a lot of learning experience during the programme and chance to network with students from different countries while enjoying the picturesqu­e premises at UNMC which is located in fascinatin­g location with high-quality living environmen­t with state-of-theart learning, teaching and research facilities.

The other 4 winners received a cash award of USD 100.00 each and a certif- icate and the final winner received acertifica­te of participat­ion and a gift from Malaysian Education Center @ Internatio­nal Scholar.

The winners were announced at the Ceremonial Opening of Scholar Office which was held at theProf. F. R. Jayasuriya auditorium @ Internatio­nal Scholar at the “Scholar House “on 10th July 2015.

The Grand Prize winner was NimsaraNad­ijaSenevir­atne from Royal College and was awarded by the Malaysian High Commission­er His Excellency AzmiZainud­din. The 1st& 2nd runners up were RavinduShe­hanPerera from Royal College and RuquayyahJ­amaldeen from Ladies College respective­ly. The awards for the runners up were presented by Mr. GovindanNa­ir , Director Internatio­nal Office at UNMC and Mr. KabilanMun­iandy Managing Director, Winning Magnitude SdnBhd
