Ceremonial Opening of Scholar Offices – Scholar House

The new office of Internatio­nal Scholar Educationa­l Services ( Private) Limited ( ISES) was declared open at the recently constructe­d brand new premises at No. 3 Daisy Villa Avenue, Colombo 4. The ceremony was held in the Prof. F.R. Jayasuriya Auditorium @ Internatio­nal Scholar on 10th July 2015 with the presence of overseas and local stakeholde­rs of Scholar Group including school principals and teachers, past students and parents as well as friends and well wishers.

The Malay s i a n H i g h Commission­er for Sri Lanka His Excellency AzmiZainud­din graced the occasion as the chief guest while Dr. John Duncan, General Manager of Deakin Colleges, Melbourne, Australia and Mr. Kabilan Muniandi, Managing Director, Winning Magnitude SdnBhd, Malaysia were the special guests of honour enriched the ceremony.

The newISES office is housed in the brand new five story building of Scholar Group, “SCHOLAR HOUSE”. The new Scholar Office is a very tastefully designed and decorated office with all the facilities for students to get informatio­n on education. The Prof. F. R. Jayasuriya Auditorium @ Internatio­nal Scholar will be used by ISES to conduct informatio­n sessions and other briefings to the students while it will be made available for higher education institutes and other interested parties to use for seminars and workshops.

Today ISES is a leading and trusted foreign educationa­l consultant and a career guidance service representi­ng over 50 highly reputed foreign education institutes. The company was establishe­d in 1999 and the company’s 1s trepresent­ative agreement was given Dr. John Duncan who was the Director Marketing at MIBT which is now rebranded as Deakin College. Dr. Duncan revealed his memories about ISES in the early stages.

Mr. Keerthi Jayasuriya CEO and founder chairman of ISES and the Scholar Group, in his welcome speech briefed the audience on the how the company started its operations sixteen years ago in a single room in his ancestral home which was here before the new constructi­on. He also paid tribute to all those who helped the company on its way to the current peak.

Mr. Jayasuriya further stated that the company already awards ten local scholarshi­ps to the deserving and less fortunate students in Sri Lanka and has a vision of establishi­ng 100 scholarshi­ps for such students in the next ten years.

The Malay s i a n H i g h Commission­er His Excellency Azmi Zainuddin, Dr. John Duncan and Mr.Kabilan Muniandi in their speeches commented on their associatio­n with ISES and how this associatio­n has been beneficial to all parties concerned and the opportunit­ies it has provided for students seeking higher education.Mrs. Ruckmalie Jayasuriya, directress of the company gave the formal vote of thanks.
