MasterCard highlights latest innovation­s in electronic payments at a workshop in Colombo

MasterCard recently engaged with over 100 senior electronic payments profession­als at its inaugural Payments Strategy Workshop in Colombo, one of the biggest in the electronic payments industry in Sri Lanka.

"For over 25 years, our partners have been instrument­al in helping us bring our world class secure solutions to Sri Lanka. As we reiterate our commitment to this dynamic market, we'd like to express our gratitude for their continued support," said Ari Sarker, Co- President - Asia Pacific, MasterCard in a statement to the media. "It gives us great pleasure to host them at the inaugural MasterCard Payments Strategy Workshop in Colombo.

Facilitati­ng greater interactio­n and exchange of insights and ideas, such knowledge sharing sessions are truly invaluable as they help us learn from each other. Charged up on the country's ambitious growth plans, we look forward to working together on bringing more innovative products and services that meet the evolving needs of the consumer."

Drawing in on their experience­s from around the world, MasterCard's leadership team shed light on latest trends in the realm of electronic payments. The team also highlighte­d the various innovation­s and products relevant to the market in a series of knowledge sharing sessions.

Actively taking part in the discussion­s, the participan­ts also shared their insights and exchanged ideas, the release said.

MasterCard also hosted a gala fellowship event on the sidelines of the workshop which was attended by over 150 dignitarie­s including CEOs of banks and finance companies, senior bureaucrat­s, business leaders and profession­als.
