"Let's talk about prawns" at Galadari

Get ready for another heavenly promotion to take place at the Galadari Hotel commencing in the month of August 2015. This ideal gastronomi­cal journey takes place at the hotel's infamous fine dining restaurant the California Grill every Thursday from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm.

Prawn lovers can be assured of a feast of a lifetime as the California Grill prepares to conjure up the most to-die-for prawn inspired creations just for you. These all- prawn- inspired creations include hot and cold appetizers, soups, mains and prawn pastas.

Hot and cold appetizers include jumbo prawns on crispy greens served with horseradis­h and chili vinegar, pan seared prawn and sautéed spinach over baked with hollandais­e sauce, prawn and forest apple salad on crispy greens with was a bi dressing, lukewarm spinach mousse terrine and dressed prawns with hot citrus vinegar and pan fried Negombo prawns with grilled pepper gratin with butter and much more

The yummy soups include tiger prawns and white wine chowder with pearl vegetables, brandy flavored prawn bisque, spicy tom yam cum, prawn minestrone and prawn consommé with prawn wonton etc. The exciting main dishes include pan seared tiger prawns and ratatouill­e,flash fried pink prawns with spicy prawn cream, tiger prawn flamed with Malibu and pan fried lagoon prawns with fresh herb to name a few.

The mouthwater­ing pastas include spicy prawn with garlic toast, herbed prawn macaroni with wok fried mushroom, king prawns and shell pasta with white wine seafood sauce and gratin with cheese and fettuccini with creamy chili prawns etc.
