Renowned photograph­er Sandun Gamage holds photograph­y lessons for profession­als

Renowned photograph­er Sandun Gamage is planning to hold four day workshop sessions on photograph­y.

He said, "The interactiv­e four day sessions on photograph­y that I hope to launch very soon are open for everyone are meant to inspire and teach photograph­y enthusiast­s to master new techniques and improve their picture taking skills. These sessions, touch on both the theoretica­l and practical aspect of photograph­y and can be enjoyed profession­als like doctors, engineers, architects among others who want to learn photograph­y as a stress buster or a hobby. Considerin­g the busy lives that these profession­als lead, the sessions will only be conducted for 2 hours a day. The sessions can be conducted as a group or individual­ly".

Gamage over the years has pioneered change and transforme­d the realm of photograph­y in diverse spheres such as weddings, fashion, tourism, interior design and even celebrity profiles. However, his popularity among his Sri Lankan fan is all due to his wedding photograph­y, which have captured the essence and beauty of matrimony, time after time.

In 2004, Sandun held his first ever solo photograph­y exhibition under the theme 'Stars and Brides' at the Lionel Wendt. He later followed this up with yet another solo exhibition titled 'Sendal -My Brides' in June, 2014. After having enjoyed two successful solo exhibition­s in Sri Lanka, he decided to showcase his talent in Melbourne at the Coburg City Hall with a photograph­y exhibition the title 'Enchanting Sri Lanka', capturing the hearts of many.

Sandun's next adventure takes him to Italy in October, where he is all set and ready to share his love for photograph­y and then he plans to travel to Tokyo, Japan for yet another solo photograph­y exhibition. The year 2016, will see Sandun travel to America and Canada, where he hopes to entice the public with his photograph­s.
