Assured results and financial support: Read for a University of London Degree at HORIZON CAMPUS

Scholarship Exam: 13th February 2016

-

Having sat the Local A/L examinations last August and having received your eagerly anticipated results last week, the question that is raised in all prospective students and parents is What Next? The education field in Sri Lanka is saturated to a great extent with the advent of private higher educational institutions, with varying affiliations, partnerships and collaborations offering a plethora of University degree programmes from the United States, United Kingdom, Malaysia, India etc.

The decision making process can be tedious and tiring, with so much to choose from and so many aspects to look into in choosing the correct degree from the right University. It is also difficult in identifying the credentials of the Institution that offers the individual degree programme locally.

The University of London International not the highest ranked international degree programme currently offered in Sri Lanka. Horizon Campus has been chosen by the University, as one of the “Recognised Centre’s” to provide for degree programmes in Sri Lanka, in a range of fields.

Having delivered for the University of London degree programmes over the past 4 years and having its first group of students graduating at the ceremony to be held in the UK, in March of 2016, the Horizon Campus management is particularly confident that it will continue to achieve greater results in the future. This is vindicated by the fact that students, reading for the LL.B.& BSc Degrees through the University of London International

- tinued to achieve excellent pass rates at the recently concluded exams, held in May of 2015.

The overall pass rate for the LL.B Degree, has been an excellent 90%, for subjects offered over the three years, while the BSc has achieved a creditable 79% pass rate. The achievement shows greater significance in the fact that an absolute majority of students have passed all subjects which they have undertaken, within the academic year. The Management of Horizon Campus is particularly eager to stress the fact that the students and Lecturers have strived hard to achieve these pass rates within a mere three year period since Horizon Camps had commenced delivering the degree, offered by the University of London International

Ms. Samadhi Cooray and Ms. Fathima Fadhila Fairoze, performed exceptionally well at the first year examinations, where they have been recognized by the University of London International programmes, as having achieved the highest

- jects, in Sri Lanka. Ms. Cooray and Ms. Fairoz were facilitated for their achievements by the University, whereby they received a Certificate of Achievement ad financial support from the University, acknowledging the same. Samadhi is an old Girl of Bishop’s College, Colombo, while Fadhila is an old girl of Ilma International Girls School, Colombo, who commenced their studies at Horizon, in March 2014.

Their achievement is a particularly significant for Horizon Campus, as it has managed to teach and guide these students, who are among approximately 400 students who sat the first year laws examinations,
