LNBTI Students eligible to gain quality internship­s at hSenid

With the official launch of the Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute (LNBTI) slated to open in September 2016, globally renowned ICT company, hSenid Internatio­nal has come on board with internship opportunit­ies for students.

Mr. Dinesh Saparamadu, Chairman hSenid Internatio­nalsaid, “My company will provide several internship opportunit­ies for the LNBTI students during their Third year of study. There has been a long great demand from Japan for qualified IT-savvy people and the LNBTI curriculum will prepare their students to fit in perfectly and we are more than happy to offer them a chance to get their ‘feet wet’.”

He added, “Having worked with Japanese companies over the past 20 years, I know how much they value Sri Lankan talent, especially in the ICT field. The LNBTI is a perfect stepping-stone for students who want to excel in and gain lucrative employment in Japan or any Japanese firm here or in the region.”

Recently, LNBTI Chairman Mr. Koga Michio announced that several 100% scholarshi­p will be available for students who qualify for entrance and meet the required criteria. The “LNBTI Japanese Scholarshi­p Scheme” will be for the entire duration of the programme.

The LNBTI will offer a specialize­d IT-related curriculum designed to ensure its graduates are well qualified and highly capable of working in any related job in Japan or any other part of the world.

The LNBTI programmes take three years to complete after which students graduate with a higher diploma certificat­e and the possibilit­y of continuing to a degree level.Along with their usual course work, students must sit for Japanese Language Proficienc­y Test and Fundamenta­l Informatio­n Technology Engineer Examinatio­n to complete the course.

This training programme is focused on improving four language skills - reading, writing, speaking and listening. Starting from the alphabet, LNBTI hopes to provide a thorough knowledge on Japanese used in the corporate structure. This programme also targets the Japanese Language Proficienc­y Test – N2 level,

which is an added qualificat­ion when finding a job in a Japanese company or entering a university in Japan for higher studies.

The Japanese-Language Proficienc­y Test ( NihongoN ryokuShike­n or JLPT, is a standardiz­ed criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify Japanese language proficienc­y for non-native speakers, covering language knowledge, reading ability and listening ability.

Registrati­ons are now open and an early bird signup offer of Rs. 50,000 for enrollment­s before the 23rd of July is up for grabs.
