Ever wanted to have a cup of tea with literati? Well, an afternoon tea at the Galle Face Hotel is in order when Ashok Ferry, the well known Sri Lankan author and illustrato­r will read and will be in conversati­on with David Foenikinos and his novel Memories on 13th July at 4.00pm at the 1864 Restaurant

The turning point of David’s career is done with TheDelicac­y (2009), critically acclaimed book that gets 10 awards and over a million copies.In 2014, with his novel Charlotte, D. Foenikinos knows the consecrati­on. This became a best seller with 450,000 copies sold. He is also a film maker, in 2010 to broaden his horizons and, along with his brother Stéphane Foenikinos, co-directed the film ‘The Delicacy’, adaptation of his eponymous novel.

The Film was nominated twice to the 2012 César Ceremony for the Best Adaptation and for the Best First Film. Following this success, in 2014, he coadapted his novel Memories. The film,, directed by Jean-Paul Rouve,ve, met a great success with over a million tickets sold in France. For all who wish to watch the screening of this novel Memories, which he adapted to the 7th art with Jean Paul Rouvesit will be held on Wednesday, July 13th for the opening of the French Film Festival. From the 3rd of June until the French Bastille Day y on the 14th of July, the 5th edition of the French Spring Festival will showcase a variety of events.
