Waters Edge to launch an authentic Sri Lankan Restaurant

Popular resort Waters Edge recently launched the constructi­on of an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant in the hotel premises A launch of an authentic Sri Lankan restaurant will only add to the many plans underway to showcase the Kotte area as a heritage site.

The foundation stone laying ceremony was held at the hotel premises to mark the launch of the constructi­on.

Located at the edge of the Diyawanna Oya in a breezy tranquil setting, the Sri Lankan restaurant will be a unique feature at Waters Edge. With a forecast of 2.5 million tourist arrivals to the country, an outlet of this nature would provide the perfect glimpse of traditiona­l culture, customs and cuisine of the country.

‘The authentic Sri Lankan restaurant will be a one of its kind venue promoting a unique dining experience to locals and tourists alike’ said Rohan Fernandopu­lle General Manager of Waters Edge.

‘We are eagerly waiting to welcome everyone to experience and indulge in true Sri Lankan hospitali- ty’ he added. In addition to the guests, the chairman and the board of directors, the hospitalit­y teams and project implementi­ng and monitoring teams of Waters Edge participat­ed in the religious rituals.
