In the 2016 Guardian Ranking for UK Universities, University of Northampton occupies the 43rd position for Business and Management Studies, which reflects the quality of education and reputation of a leading university.

Professionals who have completed all stages and examinations as well as those who possess part qualifications could seek progression pathways leading to several Bachelor’s and Master’s Qualifications. The pathways are individually designed in terms of existing qualifications and experience. The opportunities are available to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration ( MBA) or Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management ( MA- HR) as well as the Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Management (BA – Hons) from University of Northampton, UK.

The accounting qualifications recognised for progression are from CA Sri Lanka, CIMA an ACCA. In addition qualifications obtained from Institute o f Personnel Management ( IPM), Institute of Bankers ( IBSL), National Institute of Buisness Management (NIBM)are recognised for progression. Pearson BTEC HND and Level 7 students who wish to complete their studies to a BSc or MBA could also seek progression. Holders of other recognised professional qualifications could seek admission by providing transcripts and certificates in order to facilitate mapping of learning contents. This is an opportunity to convert a local qualification to a UK degree of undisputed recognition which will enable the holders to fulfill the requirements of a proper Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Universally a Bachelor’s degree requires 3 years of study and under this arrangement ‘ recognition of prior learning’ is granted to make up this three years of learning.
