BCAS International Research Symposium 2016 – in Collaboration with University of Wolverhampton, UK
British College of Applied Studies popularly known as BCAS CAMPUS, established in 1999, has rapidly grown into one of the leading vocational and tertiary education providers in Sri Lanka. BCAS has comparatively a large number of students in the private sector higher education with strong collaboration with some of the renowned UK universities such as University of Wolverhampton and London South Bank University.
BCAS Campus, having won many national and international awards, while ensuring academic standards, has been contributing immensely to the nation building for 17 long years. BCAS having 7 campuses around the country and a Qatar campus in the State of Qatar, has lived up to its broad vision “Building Careers –Transforming Lives” and thereby made them productive citizens of Sri Lanka.
Since inception BCAS Campus has identified the importance of research, especially in IT and many successful entrepreneurs have been produced. BCAS made history on the 18 December 2015, through the inaugural “BCAS Annual Research Symposium-2015”. This occasion was a clear testimony to the academic standard of BCAS where researches carried out with students were shared with the others. It was a grand success with the recognition and appreciation of Honourable Justice Saleem Marsoof, P.C, as the Chief Guest and Mr. Dian Gomes, General Manager, MAS Holdings who was the Guest of Honour. Mr K KanaegIsvaran, PC delivered the Keynote address.
Having outlined about how successful BCAS Campus’ previous research conference has been, this year the institute has broadens its scope attracting high quality research papers from local and international researchers, professionals and academics, across multiple disciplines
BCAS Campus International Research Symposium 2016 is scheduled to be ceremoniously held on 30th of November (Inauguration) and 1st of December 2016 (Conference) in collaboration with University of Wolverhampton with an honoured presence of Professor Geoff Layer, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton as the Chief Guest. Moreover, participation of many prominent local and global universities is also expected.
Having outlined about how successful BCAS Campus’ previous research conference has been, this year the institute has broaden its scope and attracts the high quality research papers from local and international researchers, professionals and academics, across multiple disciplines such as Engineering (Civil & Telecom), Built Environment (QS), Business Management, Information Technology, Law & International Relations, Biomedical Science, Education, Social Sciences, Science & Technology and Psychology.
The closing date for submission of abstracts is 31st of August, 2016 and research submissions are expected from both state and private higher education institutes, research institutes and other public & private sector institutions.
