Kiddies Concert 2016 of St.Theresa’s Montessori House of Children –Raddoluwa

Little Theresians of St. Theresa’s Montessori House of children showed their talents in grand scale at the tower hall Colombo on the 31st July 2016.

The Chief Guest was Dr. Mrs. Indira Abeygunawa­rdena- B. sc. (kel’ya), M.Phil.Ph.D. (Q. Land), senior lecture of University Of Kelaniya and the guest of Honour was Dr. Ms. Pamela Pieris – freelance consultant/ visiting lecturer rights based social work practice, motivation­al coach for dream work.

After lighting the oil lamp by the chief guest and the staff the stage was light up by a Pooja dance choreograp­h by the Directress of Manakala Ranga Peetaya Raddolugam­a Mrs. Yamuna Peiris. The welcome speech was delivered by Yonal Bandara. The events were very interestin­g and eye catching, due to the high standard of the stage arrangemen­ts, costumes and of course the attractive songs and the dances which absolutely impressed by the audience. The high standard of the performanc­es of Little Theresians made their parents immensely proud. These children among the age of 2 years and 3 months to 5 years were the little performers who proper guidance and teaching that nothing is impossible in spite of their size and age. The Directress Ms. Jeevika Samaratung­e and her dedicated staff bestowed so much of confidence on the little Theresians , they performed well on stage. This event consisted of many colourful items of children such as Pooja, Goyam, Ballet, Dancing Sailors, Rhythm of Spain and a beautiful choir led by one of their senior student Nethul Perera. Wind up the show with a snow filled farewell by the teachers to the little stars of the night.
