Future Grads Steps to Levels Higher!

The most significant and influential years in the development of a child’s personality and behaviour are his or her formative years. Since 2002, Future Grads Montessori House of Children has been delivering a sound early childhood education by encouraging the development of academic skills, positive behaviour and attitudes, creativity, and self-confidenceto over 1500children.

The Future Grads Montessori House of Children and Day Care Centre, which is situated in Ratamalana, was founded in 2002 by Mrs. Yasmin Nimaladasa. Starting with just one student in 2002, the rapid progress over the years encouraged Future Grads to take a step forward by opening a new branch at Katubedda in 2007.

While celebrating 15 years of excellence in the Montessori Method of Education, Future Grads ‘steps to levels higher’ by opening their very own International Academy in 2017 at theirRatamalana Branch. Starting from Grade One, Future Grads International Academy will be following the Pearson – Edexcel International Curriculum, consisting of Religion, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Geography & History, Health & Physical Education, Languages (English, Sinhala, Tamil and French), and Aesthetics (Western/ Oriental Singing, Dancing, and Art & Handwork).Students at Future Grads International Academy are also encouraged to engage in ExtraCurricular Activities such as Elocution / Speech & Drama, Swimming, Chess, and Scrabble.

The curriculum for both, the Future Grads Montessori and International Academy are designed to meet the needs of each child consid- ering that each child is a special and unique individual. At Future Grads, each child is qualified to take a responsible place in any society by nurturing paramount virtues such as hard work, a good study ethic, self-criticism, enthusiasm, and loyalty. The stimulation offered by dedicated teaching, personal supervision and a wide range of facilities is incomplete without the involvement of parents; hence, Future Grads also gives importance to ensuring a healthy relationship between home and school.
