A wonderful opportunity to follow the only internationally accredited Chemistry Honours degree level programme in Sri Lanka at minimal cost
The College of Chemical Sciences (CCS), which is the educational arm of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon has announced the ongoing registration of the 39th batch of students for its popular four year GraduateshipProgramme in Chemistry . This programme which could be followed (at weekends or three weekdays) even by students who have just completed the A/L examination will commence before the end of the year. This internationally accredited programme which produces nearly half of all the Graduate Chemists produced in Sri Lanka is the only such programme that assures all registrants the opportunity to become Graduate Chemists without any further competition provided individual satisfactory progress is maintained.
Professor Priyani Paranagama, Dean/CCS, states in a media release that when the results of the 34th batch are announced by end of December, CCS would be proud to have produced well over 1100 Graduate Chemists who are making an immense contribution to national development in the central field of Chemistry both in Sri Lanka and globally. Over 100 have obtained real PhD doctorates in the best Universities throughout the world (including US, Canada, UK and Australia) while well over another 200 have obtained or are pursuing post-graduate degrees. The cost of the entire programme including a well-designed practical programme and the availability of a number of optional elective courses to satisfy individual student interests and desires over 48 months works out to be less than any of the cost for such programmes in any part of the world.
