CCC School of Cricket takes wing to Hyderabad
CCC School of Cricket, the leading cricket coaching school in the country will be embarking on their 20th tour abroad when they take wing to Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh, India on December 21 for a nine day tour.
This year’s destination will be the cricket crazy city of Hyderabad, which is noted for their high standard of junior cricket. The annual tour is part of the cultural, educational and social programme for its students which, undoubtedly, helps in the all-round development of the young participants.
A record contingent of eighty (80) will make the tour with three teams Under-12, Under-13 and Under-15. Hyderabad Cricket Association will host CCC School of Cricket.
John Manoj, General Secretary of Hyderabad Cricket Association has ensured that each team plays a minimum of nine matches, and a total of 29 matches in all – Under-12 (9 matches), Under-13 (10 matches) and Under-15 (10 matches). The highlight of the series of matches will be the final matches to be played at the majestic Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, a super rated ground in India.
The senior officials to accompany the squad are: Nelson Mendis (Chief De Mission), Ravi Subasinghe (Tour Manager), Pamoda Weerakkody (Managress – Logistics), Jagath Jayawardene (Manager – Welfare), Manish Sharma (Tour Coordinator) and Major Priyantha Nanayakkara (Manager – Security).
The three coaches on tour will be: Manoj Millawithanachchi (Senior Coach – Under-15), Udara Maddumage (Under-13) and Janith Dissanayake (Under-12) Teams: Under-15: Movin Subasinghe (Captain), Shyamsunder Krishnasriram (V. Capt), Ishan Sharma, Vinuka Nanayakkara, Thavisha Ranasinghe, Chamikara Peiris, Nevindu Silva, Dineth Nelumdeniya, Amaan Thaha, Vidula Wanigasekera and Sakith Perera.
Under-13: Hiran Jayasundera (Capt.), Yasiru Rodrigo (V. Capt.), Threeraka Ranatunga, Divyesh Ramiah, Lohan Vidanage, Nimithu Gunawardene, Anuhas Rodrigo, Danal Hemananda, Sheron Jayasinghe, Ashfan Ali, Ahsan Safeer, Dinura Wanigasekera and Dinila Perera.
Under-12: Linal Subasinghe (Capt.), Uvin Perera (V. Capt.), Sahan Dabare, Ashen Perera, Nabeel Rajudeen, Zamil Moulana, Praram Williams, Anishke Gooneratne, Gagan Boodagoda, Ranuka Malaviarachchi, Trarin Nishanthan, Baha Safeer and Batheesha Gajadeera.
