After the conclusion of the Mass, Rev. Fr. Ivan Pietersz addressed the gathering. This was followed by the presentation of a special plaque by the Parish Council in honour of the Chief Justice.

The Chief Justice in his address thanked the organisers of the event the gathering and recalled the pleasant memories pertaining to the parish. He referred to various challenges and setbacks he faced prior to becoming the Chief Justice.

He stated that it is impossible to carry out his duties alone. However, steps would be taken to minimise laws delays and give low income earners a better access to the judicial system.
