Numerous Students after O/Levels reap ANC Scholarship benefits

-

ANC Scholarship Day 2017 concluded on the 5th of this month with a grand success at the ANC auditorium with the participation of a large number of students and parents, coming from different parts of the island. A significant number of students who attended the event after O/Levels received the chance to enter ANC’s US degree avenues with attractive scholarships.

Over 50 students of those who participated in the event were directly after completing their O/Levels - and a substantial amount of them received numerous scholarship awards based on their O/Level results. Abdul Raheem from Royal College and Rajindra Akmeemana from Trinity College who entered ANC’s Northwood University Business Degree Completion Program in Sri Lanka and Ahamed Najman from D.S Senanayake who entered a US Engineering Degree Program through ANC’s American University Transfer Program received the full benefits of scholarships offered at the event. These scholarships were awarded ceremoniously by the former Deputy Principal of the Primary Section of Royal College, Colombo and the Head of Academic-Strategic Partnership at ANC Mrs. Lakshmi Attygalle, enabling students to undertake a US degree for an affordable price.

ANC Scholarship Day created a fine platform for a vast number of students and parents to explore a plethora of US degree options coupled with numerous scholarship opportunities, aiding young and bright students to fast-track degree education after O/Levels. ANC enabled students to find transfer and direct placement options to world-class universities in the US as well as options to complete their entire US degree in Sri Lanka. At the event, students also had the chance to meet experts on Career Guidance, Psychometric Testing and Visa Guidance – who helped students receive better insights into US education.

With the knowledge of our expert panelists, students and parents learnt how to best invest in a globally recognized university education. Our panel consisted of Head of Human Resources of Hela Clothing Ms. Rajee Ravichandran and a Psychologist of the Psychological Sciences Institute Ms. Shasheek Irshard .

The panel gave the participants an in-depth picture of the key areas in finding the right degree avenues in the US, benefits of US degree education, US education requirements and US VISA requirements. With their help, students found numerous education avenues that best suit their interests and future careers, be it Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Health Science, Art & Design or Humanities.

Under ANC’s US University Transfer Program, ANC has so far transferred over 1800 to 140 different universities in the US, with a track record of 99% Visa acceptance. ANC enables hassle free student transfers by providing authentic US transcripts, application services, VISA services and placement services, ensuring a smooth transition for students to receive experience and exposure in the country of their dreams. Under ANC’s US Degree Completion Program in Sri Lanka, thousands of local and regional students have been able to obtain globally recognized American degrees from Northwood University, a leading specialized business school in the US while saving 70% of the cost of studying the same degree abroad.

Most of the parents who attended the event admitted that sitting for A/Levels is becoming increasingly less attractive for students due to time consuming nature of the local education system when obtaining a degree education. They were well aware of how competition to get into a local university through A/Levels could affect the child’s psychology. Instead of letting their children face such a competitive admission seeking examination to enter a state university, most parents made the wise decision to permit their children to enroll in a US degree program at ANC, allowing them to start higher education at the age of 16 to be graduated by 2020 ahead of their peers.

Being the No 01American Higher Education Choice in Sri Lanka, ANC take great pride in organizing events of this nature to give local students access to quality global education through affordable avenues. You still have the chance to secure your child grand scholarship benefits with merit scholarships up to LKR 500,000. Your child will be eligible to receive all these scholarship benefits if you enroll him/ her in one of ANC’s US degree programs before the 30th of April this year. At ANC, our target is to lift barriers to education in order to produce the next generation of leaders who will be an asset to the community and organizations in multiple disciplines.
