Opportunity to be a qualified teacher in New Zealand

-

Teaching is a profession that requires at least a degree at Bachelor level. In all developed countries. Teachers for early childhood, pre-primary and primary must have a recognised corresponding bachelor degree and secondary school teachers must have a bachelor degree in the subject they teach followed by at least a post graduate degree in Teaching Methodology. The academic qualifications are followed by registration. Teachers at all levels are in high demand in all developed countries and this is so in New Zealand too.

Founded in 1982, The New Zealand Tertiary College (NZTC) is a leading provider of Early Childhood Education programs. All NZTC qualifications are approved and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) - the New Zealand government body that oversees quality assurance for New Zealand qualifications. NZQA has put in place systems to ensure consistency of training and assessment, ensuring N Z qualifications are valued as credible and robust nationally and internationally. NZTC’s Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) qualification is approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) – the body which oversees the national quality framework for the Australian early childhood sector, meaning that NZTC graduates wishing to apply for Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) status in Australia can do so without having to apply for an assessment of their qualifications. The Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) qualification is approved by the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand (Education Council), which makes graduates eligible to apply for teacher registration and thereby the ability to apply for residency if you wish to live & work in New Zealand.
