‘EXMO 2017’ Successfully Concludes…
‘EXMO 2017’ the engineering exhibition organized by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa successfully concluded on 28th and 29th of April at the University premises. EXMO 2017 aimed to provide a platform to unveil creative and innovative ideas of the talented young undergraduates through engineering design and research. The exhibits and demonstrations were organized under several thematic areas which covered unique and innovative creations from each and every department of the Faculty of Engineering i ncluding Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dept. of Civil Engineering, De pt. of Electrical Engineering, Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Dept. of Chemical and Process Engineering, Dept. of Computer Science Engineering, Dept. of Earth Resources Engineering, Dept. of Material Science and Engineering, Dept. of Textile and Clothing, Dept. of Transports and Logistics Management.
The demonstrations were organized in three categories; final year research projects, competition series and educational sessions. The event featured educational demonstrations and awareness sessions to enhance the knowledge of school students and the general public.
At the exhibition, the firstever car which competed at the IMechE- Formula Student Racing 2016 held in Siverstone in the UK that brought three awards to Sri Lanka was sparked a special interest among participants.
