Erinton re-elected to steer MAF

Erinton Perera, musician and member of popular band ‘La Bambas’ was re-elected as the President of the Moratuwa Arts Forum(MAF) for the second consecutive year at their 23rd Annual General Meeting held recently in Moratuwa.

The Forum is the pioneer and the largest such artistes organisation in Moratuwa and perhaps the longest running active such outfit of artistes in all of Sri Lanka .

The ceremonial opening was held in the presence of a large and distinguished gathering of invitees and members with Mrs. Sama Cooray, the head of the Cultural division of the Moratuwa Divisional Secretariat being the Chief Guest

At this ceremony, songster Dinesh Gamage received the Asoka Peiris memorial trophy awarded for the most outstanding member. Certificates of recognition were presented by the Chief Guest to outstanding members M.D. Gunadasa , Pemsiri Fernando, Lakdas Ferna ndo Nalaka Soysa, Surath Silva and Nihal Senadeera .

The official meeting followed thereafter and the members deliberated at length with much animation and enthusiasm for the ultimate benefit of the future of the organisation .
