Grassroots Coach Football Education Programme in Pannipitiya

A Grassroots Coach Education Programme, conducted by the Technical Department of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka successfully concluded in Pannipitiya recently. The programme was conducted from May 23 to 26 at the Institute of Sports Science in Polwatta, Pannipitiya.

A total of 35 participants took part in this programme, including Physical Education Teachers and school coaches from Piliyandala, Maharagama and Homagama educational zones.

On the final day, nearly 275 children participated for the grassroots festival representing schools of Pannipitiya Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Kalalgoda Agramathya Vidyalaya, Arrawwala Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Maharagama Madya Maha Vidyalaya, Winfield International School in Arawwala, Maharagama President College and Royala Institute in Nugegoda.

The Technical Director of Football Federation of Sri Lanka, Chaminda Steinwall, instructed the programme, assisted by Saman Bogodawatta.
