Ex-UNP MPs hold AGM, elect Gankanda as president

The annual general meeting of the Association of Former UNP Parliamentarians was held at the Water’s Edge hotel, Battaramulla recently.

The AGM was followed by a fellowship dinner with the participation of the patron of the Association, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, UNP General Secretary Kabir Hashim and other invitees.

Guest s p e a ke r and Wayamba University senior lecturer Dr Aminda Methsila Perera delivered the keynote address on ‘ Sri Lanka - The past, present and future economy’.

The following were elected as office bearers for 2017/2018.

Ekanayake, M.D. Premaratne, Mahen Gunasekera and Reginald Perera.
