Free OPD consultation at Durdans Hospital from Sept. 25 to 27

-

Colombo’s Durdans Hospitals has come up with a ‘stunning’ offer to Sri Lankan seeking OPD consultation: An absolutely free consultation service for three days, Monday September 25 to Wednesday September 27.

The hospital company said in an announcement on Thursday that the initiative is aimed at contributing ‘better community health care and to encour- age a culture of preventive healthcare’.

Officials were quoted as saying that the three main charges – appointment booking fee, doctor’s consultation fee and the hospital fees – at the OPD will be waived during this period.

The free consultation service however is limited to between 10 am to 4 pm on the three specified days. Apart from the three specified charges that are being waived to any person seeking OPD consultation services, other charges would apply.

Durdans said prior appointments are encouraged through the ‘Book an Appointment’ link available on the Durdans website. A nominal fee is charged to confirm appointments, which will be reimbursed after the consultation.

Dr. Wimal Karandagoda, Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Director Medical Services said: “As we celebrate 72 years of serving the people, our constant endeavour has been to reach out to all strata of society. It is important for us, as a pioneer in private healthcare industry, that the community we serve receive the most appropriate and comprehensive services in a welcoming and supportive environment.”
