Creating Artists Once again “Tantalize 2017”
“Tantalize” is once again here to awe their audience for the 9th time by their breath taking performances. Since its inception in 2008, Tantalize has unleashed creative potential in youth and has become the biggest, most awaited talent search of the year.
Organized by the Student Activity Club of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT), Colombo, Tantalize provides a platform for students across Universities Island wide to break away from the stress of academic pressure and take a break from their mundane routines.

“Tantalize 2014 was held not only to provide a platform for artistically talented private and state university students to gain invaluable exposure, but it also emphasized the need to give back to the society. Tantalize 2014 was able to collect 800,000 of profit to be used to donate to the Children’s ward of Cancer Hospital, Maharagama.
The Grand Finale successfully accommodated a house-full of more than 1500 people, where the finalist from each category took the stage to display their talents among many other guest artists such as Ashanthi, Randir, Umaria, Lahiru Perera, Voice Print and Mahesh Denipitiya and friends. With some mind blowing performances of raw talents the night winded up with the announcement of the overall winners. Tantalize 2014 was indeed a night full of mind blowing and Tantalizing performances where everyone took home some amazing memories.”

“Tantalize 2015 was truly a memorable experience. Working with different artists and musicians broadened my view as to what a competition really was about; that it was not purely about winning but also about the people you meet, experiences you derive and the memories you make. All-round the journey one goes through to get to the musician or artist they are today!
The organizing committee was ever so supportive and the band committed to cater to the performers needs. Would definitely advice all budding artists and young musicians to apply and be a part of Tantalize 2017, purely for the experience alone!”
The 2017 Auditions for Tantalize will be held on October 14th and 15th at APIIT City Campus and Disaster Management Centre Respectively. Auditioning categories are Solo Singing, Group singing, Solo Dancing, Group Dancing, Band, Instrumental and Beat boxing.
The kick-off acoustic night was held on the 25th of August teasing the audience with a taste of the final grand show. The official launch of the event for 2017 was held on the 14th of September along with the press release.
The greater picture in organizing this event is to donate the funds collected to the Heart to Heart Trust fund. While being a CSR this encapsulates the talent search and the platform to uplift local youth talent.
The Grand Finale will create the opportunity for the competitors to perform on stage with the renowned Bathiya and Santhush, Sanuka Wickramasinghe and Billy Fernando & 2Forty2.
