National colours for three athletes

Three outstanding athletes from Musaeus College - Senuri De Silva, Maedhani De Alwis and Binali De Alwis were awarded National Colours by the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka for for their selection to represent Sri Lanka at the Asian Junior Rowing Championships to be held in Singapore.The three oarswomen had a big hand in Musaeus victory over Ladies College in their annual regatta held at the Colombo Rowing Club last weekend.

Medani and Senuri updated the record books in the A Pair event with a time of 4.02mts to 4.15mts. Leading from the front Senuri gave Musaeus a brilliant start at the championship winning the B Sculls. Senuri combined with Maedhani emerged winners in the B Double Scull event timing 4.12mts.

In the B Pair event Binali De Alwis too showed her prowess in winning the event with Ranuli Wickremasekera.
