Grama Niladhari level schools to ease admission at top schools: Thalatha

Foreign Employment & Justice Minister Thalatha Atukorale said, in future, schools will be established at Grama Niladhari level, as admission to top schools has become a major issue in the country.

She was addressing an event held last week at the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLFEB), to grant scholarships to 59 children of SLFEB employees, who had passed the Grade 5 Scholarship, GCE Ordinary Level ( O/ L) and Advanced Level (A/L) Exams.

“We know how parents try hard to get their children admitted to popular schools. In future, we will establish schools at Grama Niladhari level,” she said.
