CMA Sri Lanka empowers another batch of Speech Crafters
The CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club successfully conducted the 5th consecutive batch of speech crafters sponsored by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. (CMA). Thirty two members, passed finalists and final year students attended the program over a period of 10 weeks. This speech crafter batch in particular, showed great commitment and dedication with eleven participants achieving 100% attendance and the restfulfilling the minimum requirement of 80 % attendance to successfully receive the Certificate of successful participation from Toastmaster International USA. In total 6 speech craft programmes have been conducted and 150 students have benefited by attending this programme. The first speech craft programme was conducted by Colombo Toastmasters Club whoinitiated to f o rm t he CMA Toastmasters Club in 2015.
Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala together with Council Members of CMA havecontinued to display their commitment to enrich and enhance the knowledge and soft skill development of its’ members, passed finalists and final year students enabling them to develop their leadership skills and achieve career progression in the corporate world. The performance displayed by the 5th batch of speech crafters showed tremendous progress and enthusiasm with speeches on ‘Life style and stress’ and an interesting speech on ‘After departing from this world’ under Project 3 speeches. Four other excellent speeches at Project 2 level were delivered creating much interest and impression on the audience.
The Final Award Ceremony of the 5th batch was successfully concluded at the CMA Auditorium on Monday, 13th November 2017. The Chief Guest Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala expressed his congratulations to the participants for their amazing performance. The certificates were presented by Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, Vice President CMA Sri Lanka Mr. Hennayake Bandara, CEO CMA Sri Lanka Mr. Kanishka Jayasinghe and CMA C o n s u l t a n t s M r. L.B. Wattegedara and Mr. Kosala Dissanayake.
CMA Sri Lanka Toastmasters Club Vice President Education Mr. Anil Indika, IPP CMA SL TMC Mr. Achala Perera, Charter President CMA SL TMC, Mr. Chandana Samaraweera, and other Club members were also present.
The Awards Ceremony was conducted by the Course Director Toast Master Dian Abeyewardene.
The next batch of the speech craft program will commence in January 2018 for members, passed finalists and final year students of the Institute of Cer t i f i e d M a n a g ement Accountants following the footsteps of the successful batches of participants.
