Mr. Fauzul Hameed – Managing Director, Hameedia

-

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate & thank the Prof. D.M. Semasinghe - Vice Chancellor, University of Kelaniya, Dr. Ajith Medis - Head of Department of Marketing Management, Organizing Committee of “Signature Stylish Marketer 2017” and all the participants for organizing this ongoing program. At a University, we get exposed to a lot of talented Undergraduates and therefore conducting an Inter University Fashion Show of this sort helps them to showcase their talents to other University Undergraduates as well as the corporate sector to build better networks.

The specialty of this event is that the participants are from various State Universities. Once they get to know each other well, when they select a profession they cherish the most it will result in better interaction amongst them. This experience will to building up relationships which will be mutually beneficial to all. As a Company, we are known to stay in line with the latest fashion trends and very strong in the arm of Marketing. With “Signature Stylish Marketer 2017”, the University Undergraduates get a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents while it enables our Company to take our brand “Signature” to the next generation.

Since I have been judging this Fashion Show from the 1st year onwards, I have witnessed the talents of our youngsters and together we could do a lot. We realized that we need to support this cause and that is why we came forward to sponsor this event. While taking part in this Competition, some Contestants might win and some might loose. By losing, they will learn a lot more and improve themselves. They also learn to dress well, upgrade themselves and improve their life styles.

We wish, this event becomes more and more bigger and better in the coming years. We also feel that the aspiring A/L students would be motivated to enter a University to participate in events of this caliber. Most importantly, we are very delighted and thankful that the Department of Marketing Management, University of Kelaniya has come forward to help us with our CSR initiative - “My Friend” in which you motivate and mentor the underprivileged students in various schools spread over the island. As the founder of “My Friend”, I am very happy to initiate this programme and I consider it as an opportunity to take part in a national cause which would benefit a majority of the underprivileged children eager to reach their goals in life. Finally, we congratulate the all the Undergraduates taking part at the Grand Finale, for their exceptional talents while wishing them good luck and all success in the future.
