PhD students from Slovak University at ICBT Campus
Katarina Mackovicova and Lucia Petrikova two PhD students from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia are currently studying at ICBT Campus through Erasmus ICM program. ICBT Campus is the only private sector higher education provider in Sri Lanka to be recognized under this European Union funding program for the exchange of students

Lucia graduated in Spatial planning in 2016 with focus on urban development and strategic planning. During her postgraduate studies she spent 1 year in Poland studying Architecture and Urbanism. She has participated in different projects across Europe, including cities such as Ljubljana, Berlin, Milan, Brno and Gdansk. Now, as the 1st year PhD student, she is researching the field of social innovations regarding the smart city development.
Katarína graduated in Architecture on Faculty of Architecture in 2015 with focus on history and theory of architecture and monument restoration. AT present, she is PhD student of the last 3th year of the study. She focuses on cultural heritage, mainly on industrial heritage, which is as a part of the territorial capital. She attended many conferences and workshops (Havana, Lisboa, Rijeka, Prague, Brno) on this topic, during the study.
