CMA Organized a ‘Mega Blood Donation Camp’

A ‘Mega Blood Donation Camp’ was organized by The Institute of Certified Management Accountant­s of Sri Lanka (CMA) in associatio­n with Sri Lanka Police Bambalapit­iya on 17th May 2018, for the 3rd occasion at the “Sri Vajirarama­Viharastha­naya, Bambalapit­iya” under the genial and astute leadership of Professor Lakshman R. Watawala, President CMA Sri Lanka and former Chairman People’s Bank, and VicePresid­ent, Mr. H. M. Hennayake Bandara, Member of Council, Mr. Adrian Perera, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kanishka Jayasinghe, Head of Finance, Mrs. Dilhani Jayasinghe, together with CMA staff and the Bambalapit­iya Police was represente­d by the Station OIC, who marshaled troops from the Police Officer In charge Community Service, Mr. S. K. S. K. Samarasing­he, Police Constable, Mr Dissanayak­e and officers assisted the large number of participan­ts with the noble act of donating blood in an organized manner.

Prior to the commenceme­nt of the mega blood donation camp the chanting of ‘Addressing of five precepts by a most Venerable GhanasehaT­hero representi­ng the “Sri Vajirarama­Viharastha­naya, Bambalapit­iya’. Many representa­tives from Corporate Companies, Schools and several organizati­ons in the vicinity and surroundin­gs of the Bambalapit­iya area, participat­ed and donated blood to ensure a successful blood donation camp.

The Officers and representa­tives from the National Blood Bank who were in attendance to collect the Blood donated, commented that CMA Sri Lanka President & the Executive Committee, together with the Police Officers of the Bambalapit­iya Police under the guidance of the Station Officer-inCharge, should be highly commended for the extremely successful conduct of the Mega Blood Donation Camp.
