LAUNCH OF AUTODESK TRAINING PARTNER BY SFS ACADEMY

SFS ACADEMY, Moratuwa launched the Authorized Training Center and Testing Centre with Autodesk USA for the first time in Sri Lanka. The ceremony took place on a grand scale at the BMICH on 23rd of May 2018. Professor Rahula Attalage, the former Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Moratuwa, was the Chief Guest. Delegates from Autodesk USA were present to grace this occasion. Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry professionals, Educators from government and private sectors participated actively.

SFS Academy was established in 2008 in Moratuwa and commenced branches at Matara and Galle by 2010. Early this year a city branch was opened in Colombo at No 71A, Davidson Road, (Duplication Road), Colombo 04. All these centres are registered with the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.

SFS ACADEMY is the First Institute in Sri Lanka to obtain the Autodesk Authorized Learning Partnership to conduct effective training in all fields of Engineering design for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Mechatronics. Furthermore many students follow Architecture, Interior Designing and Graphic Design due to the high demand in the Industry.

The CEO/Director Operations of SFS ACADEMY Eng. (Ms.) Nilmini de Silva mentioned in the welcome address, that she is proud to steer the SFS Team during the past ten years. Nilmini's father introduced AutoCAD at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Moratuwa after training at the AIT Bangkok, where I was studying for my M.Sc. at that time. AutoCAD software has been introduced at that time and he trained many engineering students to improve the efficiency of designing in Civil, Architectural, and Mechanical Engineering. He is the pioneer in CAD/CAM training and Autodesk software, that has now spread to all fields as a tool in design offices. After all these years Nilmini has made many achievements and today she is very successful being able to launch the Autodesk Authorized Training Partnership with the collaboration of Autodesk USA. This is a remarkable milestone in her life.”

Mr. Nithin Balyan, Business Head Autodesk Education Programme conducted an Autodesk Presentation. He emphasized that Autodesk is currently heading towards Manufacturing and Construction.

Further, he explained that ATC sites around the world offer a variety of courses, and many can help you prepare for an Autodesk Certification. SFS ACADEMY provide services to accelerate Autodesk training by reaching out to Autodesk Authorized Training Centers (ATC) in Moratuwa, Bambalapitiya and Galle.
