‘Nidahase Piya’ to be screened abroad

‘Nidahase Piya DS’ , a film based on the life and times of Father of the Nation, D. S. Senanayake is scheduled to be screened several other countries prior to its screening here in Sri Lanka.

The film is to be screened in Australia, New Zealand and Canada with the participation of Sri Lankans living there.

Agreements have already being signed and the screenings will be scheduled soon.

Directed by Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa the film stars Lakshman Mendis and Thumindu Dodentenna playing as older and younger DS respectively.

The other main roles are played by Jayalal Rohana, Janak Premalal, Susantha Chandramali, Thisuri Yuwanika, Palitha Silva , Buddadasa Vithanarachchi, Saranga Disasekara, Somasiri Alakolanga, Douglas Ranasinghe, Anura Bandara Rajaguru, Udeni Aliws, Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi, Pavithra Wickremasinghe, Priya Vithanayrachchi, G. R. Perera, Nayana Hettiarachchi, Roshan Pilapitiya, Nirosha Thalagala and Ayodhya Ratnasiri.

Behind the screen camera by Chandana Jayasinghe, production exe c u t ive- Udaya Eranga Lokuhewa, music direction is by Samantha Perera, art direction Dhammika Hewaduwaththa, make up Tharaka Adhikari, assistant direction by Udaya Prasanna and media coordination is by Anton J.
