A talent show can be a great way to showcase young adults aged between 13 and 30 years, build their confidence, and bring communities together. The BTEC Hospitality and Travel & Tourism students of the British Advanced Levels section of Ladies’ College are organising a talent show titled ‘Euphoria’ as part of their coursework and examination requirement. This gives them an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in organising and managing an event.

The show is designed to focus on high- energy, theatrical display of amateur talent drawn from some of the leading schools and universities in

Colombo. It is a fun-filled event that would appeal to middle, sen- and college students.

The entertainment event is scheduled to take place in the back garden of Ladies’ College, Colombo. The performance categories will include dancing (of upbeat varieties), singing, and beat-boxing, where young competitors can either perform a solo act on stage or choose to compete as a group/ band. The applications for these competitions were received and auditions are scheduled to be held on 22nd, 28th, and 29th of June 2018. The lucky contestants, who advance to the final round, will be given the chance to showcase their talents on the 3rd of August 2018 commencing at 6.30 pm. Entrance to this event is by way of tickets . There will be several other talented guest artistes and group performances at the event, in addition to the talent showcased by the finalists - chosen by an elite panel of judges, to give the audience another reason to remember ‘Euphoria 2018’ as a once-in- a- lifetime experience!

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Little Hearts Campaign - to build a Cardiac and Critical Care centre specifically designed to help children with defective hearts live a better life.
