STUDY MEDICINE AT MELAKA-MANIPAL MEDICAL COLLEGE IN MALAYSIA

Melaka- Manipal Medical College (MMMC) has been at the forefront of medical education in Malaysia since its inception in 1997. Nearly 4000 medical doctors have qualified through MMMC to date. Many Sri Lankan students have been associated with this medical school under its medical program since the first batch of the MBBS intake.
Melaka-Manipal’s MBBS degree is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools established under WHO which provides the Melaka- Manipal graduates a pathway towards the USMLE, PLAB and AMC examinations. Besides Malaysia, the MBBS program is also recognized by many countries including Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
Melaka- Manipal’s MBBS is uniquely designed for students to complete the first phase of their twin-campus studies overseas in Manipal - India and then return to Malaysia for Phase Two. The stint in India covers pre-clinical studies for the MBBS at the MMMC- Manipal Campus. Phase 2 requires students to return to Malaysia where MBBS students continue with clini- cal training in Melaka, Muar, Segamat and Jasin Hospitals to name just a few.
The teaching and ancillary facilities including student residencies in both Manipal and Malaysia campuses are second to none.
