As the global healthcare industry continues to grow, there will always be demand for qualified and experienced nurses.

Gaining practical experience is essential for every nursing student

When it comes to starting a career in nursing, textbook knowledge will only get you so far. Nursing graduates need to build up their practical experience in everything from interacting with patients and other health professionals, to administering different medical treatments and procedures.

This kind of hands- on knowledge is what sets some newly qualified nurses out from the crowd. It also helps build the confidence needed in what can be a high-pressure environment.

Studying nursing in Australia offers aspiring nurses the opportunity to hone their skills in a topclass health system. Australia is home to state- of- the- art hospitals, high technology medical equipment and some of the best univer- sities for studying nursing in the world.

Opportunities to get qualified in a top-class health system

Australian universities have a great reputation for providing the kind of nursing education that prepares graduates to work in a wide range of health industry contexts. Australian nursing graduates can also apply to become a registered nurse of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia ( NMBA). This accreditation is widely respected and can open doors to employment in many different countries.

That is another great benefit of becoming a nurse or midwife – the ability to work almost anywhere in the world. There is great demand internationally for qualified nurses, with the profession included on skilled migrant lists for a range of countries
