Mercantile Rugby Sevens from July 20-22

The 48th edition of the Mercantile Rugby 'Sevens' 2018 together with the Women’s Tag Rugby Sevens, conducted by the Mercantile Rugby Football Association will be held on July 20, 21 and 22 at Race Course, International Rugby Football Stadium.

Entries are called from MRFA affiliated firms and new-comers; entry forms are available with the following MRFA Officials:

The all important Captain’s and Team Manager’s briefing was held on Thursday, July 5 at the Otter Aquatic Club, 6.00 pm. where Tony Amith and Dinka Peiris from the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Referees Union went through the intricate details of the tournament.

The draw for groupings will be held on Monday July 16 at 6.00 pm at the CR&FC, Longdon Place.

In the previous tournament held on July 2, 22 and 23 at the Race Course, where 31 teams participated, MAS Holdings regained the 'Cup', beating Access Group. Kanrich Finance won the ' Plate', beating CDB Finance ' A'. Classic Travel won the ' Bowl', beating Clovetel and CDB Finance 'B' won the ' Shield', beating Fairfirst Insurance.
