Royal Institute and Lyceum International Wattala take TT titles Results
Royal Institute and Lyceum Intl’ Wattala emerged champions in the Boys and Girls categories respectively at the inaugural Under 16 Inter International Schools Table Tennis Championship concluded at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Sports Complex tables recently.
In the Boys finals Royal Institute scored a hard fought win over Lyceum Intl’ School, Nugugoda while Lyceum Intl’ School, Wattala lasses made an easy walk to the championship with a 3-0 win over Lyceum Intl’ School, Nugegoda.
Royal Institute’s R. Maleesha was adjudged the Best Player in the Boys event for contributing a lot in their march towards the championship.
Lyceum Wattala’s Pindi Jayasinghe was crowned the Best Player in the Girls event for her excellent racquet work which helped her school to clinch the championship.
