Micro Cars expands after-sales service

Micro Cars (Pvt) Ltd, authorised agents in Sri Lanka for the British brand MG, has focused on uplifting the after-sales service in partnershi­p with two automotive servicing and detailing centres in the island, officials of the company said.

“The MG ZS SUV is very popular now, as it offers a great set of features at an affordable price,” Micro Cars Director Ruvindu Guneratne told the Business Times.

‘Micro Cars Ltd has partnered with Carepoint and Arabian Motors to offer lubricatio­n services for all MG owners who purchased vehicles through Micro Cars,” he disclosed. In the pilot project, four Carepoint branches situated a t Nuge g o d a , Maharagama, Rajagiriya and Thalawathu­goda, as well as Arabian Motors to represent Colombo area have been upgraded by Micro Cars and provided training for their staff in line with MG global standards, he added.

However, every 20,000km interval the MG vehicle needs to be serviced at the Micro Cars Kelaniya main workshop, to ensure that the MG’s are updated with software, engine tuneup and general refresh, he said.

All mechanical and bodywork repairs also will be carried out at the Kelaniya Micro workshop.

Micro Cars Ltd has also extended its Road Side Assistance (RSA) network by deploying small teams of riders at strategic locations.

Many incidents and accidents aftermath could be handled on the spot by giving a call to RSA, he said adding that these riders are trained to MG technical standards and carry the necessary tools and equipment to get the owner back up and running – even if it’s a flat tyre.
