Gateway students have once again achieved outstanding academic results at the Edexcel International GCSE, AS and AL examinations. At the Edexcel 2018 examinations of which the results have just been released, Deveen Harischandra, Zindi Asgari, Abira Gunaseelan, and Rovina Fernando have obtained 12 A Stars each at IGCSE. Receiving 11 A Stars , Malisha Weerasinghe, Reynal Jayatilake, Nethumi Wijesinghe, Hirushi Muthukumarana, Supuni Wijesundara; and 10 A Stars, Pamidu Manuth Perera, Sumayyah Zubair, Binuri Gunasekara, Ravin Tillekeratne, Thulakshi Gamage, Govini Elvitigala, Neha Silva, Shahad Shaheen and Yasindu Athauda are among the other top achievers. In addition to these students, Khadeeja Pasha, Ruxan Roohullah, Kumal Udamulla, Chamidu Athauda, Mariyam Ibrahim, Akshaya Sivakumar, Gawshitha Parasuraman achieved 9 A Stars each.
Eight students, Dilanka Wimaladharma, Timnah Vithanage, Navodya Daniel, Dilanka Dewmini, Sayoni Thenuwara, Venuri Gurusinghe, Senara Tennekoon and Navishka Wickramaratne secured 8 A Stars each. Also among the other high achievers are Piyumi Rodrigo, Sahla Faleel, Aamir Ashraff, Malmi Navaratne, Keisha Pathirage, Hasindu Rajapakse, Tarindi Gamage, Kavina Silva, Sahan Hettiarachchi, Anshul Raj, Dion Setunge, Aryan Bulathsinhala, Liza Manjalee Silva who obtained 7 A Stars each.
At AS level Adithi Randeni got 6 A grades, and Bhagya Mendis, Gershon Devadason, and Yu Hailing got 5 A grades each, while Wishma Wickramatunga, Sadiyah Reyal, Aneeka Shamnaz, Dilmi Ranasinghe, Kaushik Sivalingam, Kevin Abeysekara, Salima Azma, Keshin Karunarathne, Nimaya Thenuwara, Methmi Wijesinghe, Raveesha Fernando and Natalie Yaseen received 4 A grades each.
At Advanced Level, Thisara Warnakumara and Philip Surendran obtained 4 A Stars each, while Anuttara Jayasekera, Anjelo Narendran and Joanne Gnanapragasam received 3 A Stars each.
