Thevakumar bros steer Commercial Credit to 59-50 win over DFCC Bank

Prior to the downpour during the weekend, the Mercantile Services Basketball Associatio­n ( MSBA) managed to complete 7 matches in the ongoing 28th ' L e ague' Basketball ( BB) Tournament 2018, from Days 16-18 of the tournament, at the Sir Henry Pedris and St. Joseph's College BB Courts.

In the Men's ' A' division, Thevakumar brothers, Brent (20) and Clinton (10) came up with sterling performanc­es to steer Commercial Credit & Finance ( CC& F) to a fine 59- 50 win over DFCC Bank (DFCC).

John Keells Holdings ( JKH) stalled in the last quarter, as Standard Chartered Bank ( SCB) raced passed them to gain a 51-43 win in the Men's ' B' Division match.

In a Men's ' C' Division match, Sampath Bank ( Sampat h ) swamped NDB Bank (NDB) in the 2nd half, for a surprise 53-41 win, after trailing 28-27 in the 1st half.

MAS Holdings (MAS) gained a 61- 8 cake walk win over Virtusa Corp. ( Virtusa), while WSO2 Lanka ( WSO2) and David Pieris Group ( DPG) defeated SCB and IFS R& D Internatio­nal ( IFS) respective­ly, in the Women's ' B' Division.
