-

With the collaboration of the teachers of the Primary Section of Ng/ Pitipana Maha Vidyalaya, Rev. Sr. Ruwani Fernando, the Head of the Primary Section, organized a special programme to celebrate World Children’s Day. Children were free enough to be dressed in coloured attire as the day was theirs. The programme commenced with prayers conducted by Rev. Sr. Ruwani Fernando.

Miss. Nilanthi Nonis recollected the life of a child from the birth until it goes to school with some meaningful songs. It reminded every child the first day of their school life.

The drama played by the Girl Guides of the school brought colour to the event. The playlet of Naribena, presented by Grade 5 students made the audience laugh. The songs and dances which were performed by Primary students showed how much they are talented in aesthetics. Some teachers also sang some children’s songs.

M r s. N. H. A. Chandrani delivered the key note speech of the day and Mrs. N. A. D. A. Madhushani compered the whole programme. At the end of the programme, it was seen every child having a cup of yoghurt in their hands.
