Sithum Niranga and Oneli Lehansa Most Outstanding TT Players

Sithum Niranga of Loyala College, Bopitiya and Oneli Lehansa of Musaeus College, Colombo were adjudged the Most Outstanding Players in the Boys’ and Girls’ categories at the Western Province Junior Table Tennis Championship 2018 at the St. Thomas’ College, Mt. Lavinia Indoor Stadium tables recently.

The tournament was organised by the Western Province Table Tennis Association.

Under-8 Boys Singles: Pamoda Dalpadadu (St. Joseph’s College, Colombo) beat Chithila Wanniarachchi (Ananda College, Colombo) 2-1 (11/9 , 9 / 11 , 13/11)

Under-8 Girls Singles: Sasini Panagoda (Sumeda College, Gampaha) beat Menuji Weerasinghe (Viharamahadevi Balika Vidyalaya, Kiribathgoda) 2-0 (11 /6, 11/8)

Under-10 Boys Singles: Dewmeth Weerasena (Lyceum , Nugegoda) beat Janith Batugedara (Royal College Colombo) 2-1 (7/11, 11/7, 11/8)

Under-10 Girls Singles: Sandinthie Jayasinghe (Musaeus College Colombo) beat Mishanthi Padeniya (Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo) 2-0 (11/6, 11/9)

Under-12 Boys Singles: Sanuth Jayasumana (Lyceum, Gampaha) beat Rehan Dinel (Ananda College, Colombo) 2-0 (16/14 , 12/10)

Under-12 Girls Singles: Oneli Lehansa (Musaeus College Colombo) beat Minna Hassim (Ladies College,Colombo) 2-1 (4 /11 , 11/ 2, 11 / 7)

Under-15 Boys Singles: Sithum Niranga (Loyola College, Bopitiya) beat Aathif Rusthi (Royal College Colombo) 2-1 (8/11 ,11/6 ,12/10)
