FR, DS remembered

The 136th and 134th birth anniversary commemorations of F.R. Senanayake and D.S. Senanayake were held yesterday at the Sri Lanka Foundation institute. A biography on F.R. Senanayake was also launched at the event. The book was named 'F.R. Senenayake: Illustrious Son of Sri Lanka'. Its Sinhala translation was also launched. The book was authored by Rukman Senanayake. Speaker Karu Jayasuriya was the chief guest. Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, State Ministers Wasantha Senanayake and Defence Ruwan Wijewardena and Rukman Senanayake look on as a copy of the book is handed over to the Speaker. Pix by Amila Gamage
