Bride laws in other countries
Saudi Arabia: No minimum age for the marriage of girls although the government says it wants to bring in an age limit of 15 years. Saudi Arabia is a signatory of the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of a Child, which considers those under 18 to be children.
Indonesia: Birthplace of the MMDA. The 1974 Marriage Law states the minimum age for marriage for females, with parental consent, is 16 years, and for males, 19 years.
